Welcome to the B & W Wallpaper Graphics Tutorial Page

This effect converts your image to a B&W image, without any gray tones. This is one of the easiest effects you can do in PSP. It can be very dramatic, it just depends on the original image and how it converts.

From your tool bar select: Layers/ New Adjustment Layer/ Threshold....

Threshold select

This will create a new layer that creates the Threshold effect. From the new menu, just move the slider bar to adjust the effect you want. That is all there is to it.

You can also mix the threshold with the original image (because it is a separate layer) That is how the Threshold was used on several images ( X Files , Fantasy vs Reality , and FIN ) .
I did a large number of graphics using this effect as an exercise. It was interesting to see what portions of the image were most important for identification and graphical effect. I hope you have as much fun with this effect as I did.
